Compensation Range:

$17.51 - $23.64

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Assists in various operational duties. Works closely with drivers, customer service, and forklift operators to ensure efficient and timely work flow through the Distribution Center and other assigned distribution areas. Loads and unloads materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assists with inbound shipments, including unloading and verifying. Assists with outbound shipments, including loading and verifying. Examines and accepts shipments of items and maintains receiving documents and records.

Loads and unloads materials, including but not limited to, direct materials, indirect materials, outgoing parcels, skids, U-boats, and capital medical equipment.

May originate billing to departments or predefined accounts for items ordered. May initiate action for payment of items received and/or for adjustment of defective items.

Enters data into automated inventory control system using a computer or scanning device. Kits items for outbound shipments.

May originate orders and requests for items which fall within a perpetual inventory or other predefined stock system. Conducts physical inventory of parts and maintains storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion.

Maintains equipment and work area in accordance with 5S standards.

Operates material handling equipment, including but not limited to, manual and powered pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklift, balers, shrink wrap machines, and scales. In certain areas, responsible for delivering items to end users at various locations, including but not limited to, laboratory or office locations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma and 2 years of related experience required

Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proficient English reading and writing skills and be able to read and comprehend MSDS sheets and standard work instructions required

Ability to prioritize work, self-starter, organized required

Ability to work with Microsoft windows-based computer programs required
