Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Asset Care and Line Reliability is responsible for establishing and executing Site Assets strategy and organization in alignment with Best in Class maintenance standards and overall long-term strategy for the site. This position will direct, lead and will have budget accountability for Preventative Maintenance and Calibrations teams for the manufacturing fleet in alignment with the Site assets standard expectations.
The successful candidate will develop an operational strategy and the subsequent execution of Reliability goals and objectives for the function/department inclusive of Quality System requirements, Customer Service, EHS regulations, and People development. Position will ensure full alignment with the Plant's G&O's and will monitor and enforce compliance to all company policies and procedures.
Additionally, the position will have leadership over the integration of New Products, Equipment, Facility Expansions, Processes and Procedures to ensure fit with current business objectives as well as provide flexibility to transition and meet future state strategies.
As a Credo leader, the Senior Manager, Asset Care and Reliability will proactively challenge existing paradigms leading to breakthrough business improvement initiatives aligned to the strategic business plan. You will engage, inspire, empower, and coach a highly competent team, and collaborate both horizontally and vertically across functions, sites and the overall enterprise to enable year over year growth, new products, process simplification and technology development.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads and directs the PM & Reliability and Calibrations support operations. Establishes priorities and sequence of operational support and projects. Oversees actions to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems
Responsible for the development, deployment and effectiveness of highly effective Asset Care Program, in collaboration with Limerick. Lead the development of asset management plans, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, and long-term maintenance outages in support of business objectives.
Leads in setting, tracking, and achievement of annual preventive maintenance goals and objectives including metric improvement targets. Sponsors continuous improvement activities focused on these goals
Ensure maintenance and reliability work management processes are effectively implemented, utilized, and improved, driving strong oversight of activities / cost, and strengthening links to business cost/earnings performance.
Develops and leads to annual goals and objectives along with financial budgets
Continuously explores new technologies and equipment as it pertains to increasing quality productivity and reducing costs to carry out Calibrations
Provides a strong leadership style that reflects the standards and expectations outlined in the Johnson & Johnson Credo.
Conducts and serves as a lead/coordinator of investigations and corrective and preventative action (CAPA) recommendations related to Asset Care/Reliability to address Quality, Technical, and Manufacturing issues (Audit Actions, NC's, etc.)
Applies reliability engineering tools such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Risk Based Inspections (RBI), RCFA, PPM Plan optimizations, and MTTF to enhance equipment reliability and minimize life cycle cost
Ensure a CMMS (computer maintenance management system)is utilized and improved as a fully integrated part of the reliability and maintenance work management processes
Ensure long-term maintenance outages/turnarounds are effectively planned and executed, partnering closely with Operations to deliver on budget, scope, and schedule
Represent Vision Care on corporate reliability and maintenance networks to influence development and local implementation of corporate best practices
Establishes and handles Key Performance Indicators to measure functional and/or asset base performance and effectiveness. Continually improves business and operative processes to reduce unplanned downtime
Ensures site and function operate in accordance with department SOPs which meet regulatory and cGMP standards
Responsible for all technical and professional talent development for the Reliability and Calibrations teams. Ensure the skills, capabilities, and talents of the Reliability team are effectively leveraged
Recruits, develops, leads, and motivates highly trained Reliability and Calibrations Professionals to ensure an engaged and effective workforce
Keep up to date on new developments and technologies in assigned disciplines and present new 'Best Practice' methodologies, procedures, processes, and equipment to the company in a proactive manner
Qualifications
Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor's or equivalent University degree is required, with a focus in Engineering preferred. Advanced or Masters degree desired.
Required:
A minimum of ten (10) years of Operations Management with a heavy emphasis on FDA and ISO Regulatory
Previous experience managing Projects
Strong communication skills with the ability to establish, influence, and maintain stakeholder support
Experience leading a cost center
Preferred:
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification
Previous work experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment
Experience managing and executing business process changes and change initiatives
Strong communication skills with the ability to establish, influence, and maintain stakeholder support

This position will be located Jacksonville, FL.
This position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel
