The Systems Administrator III combines advanced Apple ecosystem administration with cross-functional technical leadership. This role serves as the primary operational liaison between Enterprise & Solutions Architecture and Client Engineering, ensuring end-user computing modernization initiatives are successfully translated from architectural design into operational execution.
The incumbent is responsible for maintaining a seamless, secure, and high-performing user experience across macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS platforms. This position focuses on operational excellence, environment standardization, and Tier 3-level engineering support.
This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.
The Systems Administrator III is a senior technical contributor responsible for:
Executing Apple-focused modernization initiatives
Supporting enterprise Apple device management and integration
Providing advanced troubleshooting and consultation
Maintaining standardized and secure end-user environments
Serving as a bridge between architecture strategy and engineering execution
This role ensures technical solutions align with enterprise standards while delivering a frictionless user experience.

Responsibilities
Apple Ecosystem Administration
Manage, configure, and troubleshoot macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS devices
Manage zero-touch deployment workflows using Apple Business Manager (ABM) and MDM platforms (eg, Jamf Pro)
Maintain and optimize Apple device lifecycle management processes
Modernization & Integration
Lead implementation of end-user computing modernization initiatives
Integrate Apple platforms within a complex, heterogeneous enterprise environment
Ensure alignment of deployed solutions with architectural standards
Support cloud-integrated Apple services and enterprise interoperability
Tier 3 Engineering & Consultation
Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex Apple platform issues
Advise on programming, scripting, packaging, and integration challenges
Serve as escalation point for complex endpoint engineering issues
Environment Standardization & Security
Configure and maintain server services and application software supporting Apple endpoints
Ensure compliance with enterprise security frameworks and encryption standards
Maintain system integrity without compromising modernization initiatives
Support application packaging and enterprise software delivery
User Experience (UX) Advocacy
Monitor and proactively resolve systemic issues affecting end-user computing
Ensure high-quality, frictionless user experience across platforms
Identify and design system enhancements to improve performance and usability
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Technical Expertise
Expert knowledge of Apple ecosystem administration (macOS, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS )
Deep experience with Apple Business Manager (ABM)
Advanced knowledge of Jamf platform installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting
Experience with application packaging and enterprise software delivery
Understanding of Apple security frameworks and enterprise encryption
Enterprise Integration
Experience supporting Apple devices in complex, mixed-platform enterprise environments
Ability to ensure systems interoperability with business applications
Knowledge of cloud-integrated endpoint services
Leadership & Communication
Ability to translate architectural strategy into actionable engineering tasks
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to conceptualize and design system enhancements that improve business processes
Qualifications
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
Three years of related experience as a level 2 System Administrator or higher.

Working Conditions
This is a sedentary position requiring the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull objects. The role involves primarily sitting and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
