Job Title: Warehouse Operations Clerk
Location: Port Wentworth, Ga 6am-2pm $19.00/hr
About the Role:
We are seeking an organized and proactive Warehouse Operations Clerk to join our team. This position is critical in ensuring all shipping-related documents are completed accurately and promptly. The Warehouse Operations Clerk will report to the Operations Supervisor or Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate daily with outbound carriers via email to coordinate outbound shipments and equipment needs.
Share essential information with site personnel through various media to ensure operational requirements are met.
Receive all drivers and provide direction for outbound shipments.
Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to open/close shipments and prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight.
Ensure departing drivers have the necessary paperwork.
Maintain accurate shipping documents by adhering strictly to Standard Operating Procedures.
Gather and enter shipping data into the WMS, maintaining all records appropriately.
Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies.
Help with Material Handling duties such as receiving, put-away, picking, packing, or loading as needed.
Monitor trailer capacity and proactively communicate with spotters regarding trailer moves.
Support other administrative duties as required by the leadership team.
File all outbound paperwork for easy retrieval.
Accurately maintain the seal log and load board with up-to-date information.
Communicate work assignments related to appointments, loading doors, picking items, etc.
Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required.
Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Experience with (Manhattan) Warehouse Management System preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills; self-motivated.
Visual acuity to inspect shipments and finger dexterity for data entry.
High accuracy in recordkeeping, sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received.
Ability to input data on the computer for daily inventory reporting.
MHE (Material Handling Equipment) experience or desire to learn is preferred.
Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required.
Physical & Schedule Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use good judgment in stressful situations.
Willingness and availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Able to stand and walk for 10-12 hours, and lift/move totes up to 50-100 pounds.
Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching required.
Frequent walking; facilities may be over a quarter mile in length.
Ability to work in environments with variable noise, lighting, and temperature levels and access all areas of the facility.
