Job Summary and Qualifications

In this role, under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist:

Assist with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.

Administer modality treatments such as hot packs or ice packs.

Inform the supervisor/director when supplies are low and need to be ordered to keep adequate supplies and equipment on hand.

Straighten up and clean equipment and items in the treatment room and gym area throughout your shift, making sure all equipment is clean and in proper storage areas.

Qualifications

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification

Past experience with patient care in an acute-care setting is not required but preferred.

Perform clerical duties and assist with posting of patient charges in the computer order entry system
