Front Desk/Receptionist at Capital Area Human Services District, we're dedicated to providing outstanding healthcare to individuals and families in our District. We're seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and proactive Front Desk/Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients and families. As a key member of our team, you will help ensure that all individuals and families feel welcome and supported while maintaining a smooth and efficient front-office environment. Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Greets patients or customers in a friendly and professional manner, including welcoming the patient, making eye contact, and smiling.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accurate information and efficient scheduling.
Completes the registration of the patient, explaining the paperwork to be completed to the patient if necessary.
Ensures that a clear copy of the patient's current insurance card(s) and demographic information is entered into the patient's medical record.
Performs appropriate, timely, and accurate documentation in the medical record as is applicable to patient service duties.
Tracking and follow-up with patient cancellations and no-shows.
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Answer multi-line phones and respond to inquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational or Job Appointment.
Work Schedule: 9 hours per day Monday - Thursday, 4 hours on Friday.
Location: Capital Area Human Services District's Baton Rouge Behavioral Health Clinic.
