What You'll Do

As a General Laborer, you'll play a key role in supporting insulation projects that improve energy efficiency and system performance. Your day-to-day work will include:

Installing insulation on pipes, ducts, and mechanical systems

Cleaning and preparing surfaces to ensure proper insulation application

Measuring, cutting, and fitting insulation materials to precise specifications

Assisting experienced insulators with material handling and tool setup

Maintaining tools and keeping the job site clean and organized

Following all safety procedures and wearing required PPE at all times

What We're Looking For

Required:

Experience in construction or general labor

Valid driver's license

Ability to work safely in an active construction environment

Preferred (but not required):

Experience with insulation or mechanical systems

Willingness to learn a skilled trade and grow within the company

Work Environment

You'll work on active construction sites where safety is a top priority. Required PPE includes steel-toed boots, hard hat, high-visibility clothing, and safety glasses. Before starting, you should have:

Steel-toe boots

Tape measure

Red aviation snips

Small channel locks

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nevada, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
