Responsibilities You will be responsible for assisting all aspects of the planning, managing, coordinating, and evaluating training, education, and outreach for integrated prevention programs. You will maintain program and administrative reference materials, project and program files, available policies, procedures, and written instructions. You will support implementation and participate in prevention programs and related program management activities. You will review and coordinate prevention actions and projects across programs to ensure completion dates are met within established timeframes. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For GS 11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying social science frameworks to evaluate, consult, and advise on integrated prevention programs that promote healthy, resilient climates across diverse settings. Experience executing evidence-based strategies to prevent suicide, sexual assault/harassment, substance misuse, and violence while promoting a healthy and resilient organizational climate. Experience using data management and reporting systems to systematically collect, organize, and interpret information drawn from various databases for program oversight. Experience maintaining data integrity while navigating complex reporting structures to ensure accurate tracking of prevention-related metrics. Experience communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management, staff, and military personnel to relay technical findings and program requirements. Experience providing consultation and guidance to diverse stakeholders, ensuring clear dissemination of policy and prevention initiatives across the organization. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Basic Requirements: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position for the GS-11 position: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. Please provide unofficial/ official transcript as proof of education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
