General Manager | Full-Service Hotel | Leadership Opportunity We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the operations, financial performance, and overall success of a full-service hotel located in central Columbus, OH. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, delivering exceptional guest experiences, building strong teams, and ensuring operational excellence across all departments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day operations while creating a culture focused on service, accountability, and results. Key Responsibilities Hotel Leadership & Operations

Provide leadership and direction to department heads including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Human Resources.

Build and maintain a high-performing leadership team that prioritizes service excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and adherence to company policies and brand standards.

Actively support hotel operations during high-demand periods, special events, or staffing gaps when needed.

Financial Management & Business Performance

Oversee the development and execution of the hotel's annual business strategy, operating budget, and capital projects.

Maximize revenue through effective pricing strategies, demand management, and market positioning.

Monitor operating costs and labor expenses to ensure strong profitability.

Review financial performance regularly and implement improvements when performance gaps arise.

Guest Experience & Brand Standards

Maintain exceptional guest service standards across all touchpoints.

Review guest feedback and reputation scores, implementing action plans to improve overall satisfaction.

Ensure the hotel consistently meets or exceeds brand quality assurance requirements.

Conduct regular property walkthroughs to maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment.

Sales Strategy & Market Presence

Collaborate with the sales team to support revenue strategies, key accounts, and group business opportunities.

Participate in client meetings, site tours, and networking events to strengthen market relationships.

Stay informed on local market trends and competitor activity.

Serve as a positive representative of the hotel within the community and local business organizations.

Team Development & Talent Management

Recruit, mentor, and develop department leaders and management staff.

Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning.

Work closely with HR on employee relations, compliance, and retention initiatives.

Promote a culture that values growth, recognition, and internal advancement.

Communication & Reporting

Lead internal meetings and collaborate with corporate leadership on operational and financial performance.

Provide regular updates on hotel metrics, forecasts, and initiatives.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting across all operational areas.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field required

5+ years of hotel leadership experience, including at least 3 years as a General Manager

Strong financial and operational management skills, including budgeting and forecasting

Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive performance
