rPosting Context Statement:

The Assistant Football Coach for Defensive Back End is responsible for assisting the head coach with all facets of conducting a successful NCAA intercollegiate program. The position must comply with all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations and must display professional integrity. Duties may include on-the-field coaching during practices and games; recruiting of top-quality student-athletes; team travel, conditioning, academics, promotional and public relations activities; summer collegiate camps; and other duties as assigned by the head coach.

rrPosition Overview:

The Assistant Football Coach for Defensive Back End is responsible for assisting the head coach with all facets of conducting a successful NCAA intercollegiate program. This position will comply with all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations and will maintaining professional integrity.

Duties may include:

On-the-field coaching during practices and games

Recruiting of top-quality student-athletes

Team travel, conditioning, academics, promotional and public

relations activities

Summer collegiate camps

Other duties as assigned by the head coach

rrRequired Experience:

Experience with NCAA policies and procedures

Intercollegiate coaching experience with Division I or II defensive

back end

rrRequired Education:

Bachelors Degree

rrRequired Other:

Ability to travel

Ability to work nonstandard business hours, including weekends and

holidays

Must possess a valid drivers license and be able to meet policy

requirements for driving university-owned vehicles

rrAdditional Preferred:

Masters degree

Exhibited organizational skills

Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to comply with NCAA and

conference rules and regulations

Desire to work in a collaborative environment and to learn and grow

Coaching philosophy consistent and/or complementary to that of the

head coach

Concern for the character, academic and athletic preparation of

student-athletes

Experience recruiting national caliber student-athletes

Ability to establish good rapport and effective working

relationships with student-athletes, department members, administrators, university faculty and staff, professional colleagues, and the general public

rrPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move objects weighing up to

25 pounds
