Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a team based in Delaware County, PA. In this long-term contract Accounting Clerk position, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. As an Accounting Clerk your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Process and match invoices to purchase orders or vouchers with precision and efficiency.

Manage accounts payable tasks, including vendor invoice organization, disbursement filing, and invoice matching.

Assist with accounts receivable by applying cash receipts, generating daily invoices and credits, and aiding in the collection of overdue balances.

Perform general accounting duties such as reconciling general ledger accounts and supporting month-end closings.

Prepare financial reports and statements by gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources.

Ensure transaction accuracy by reviewing and correcting necessary documents and entries.

Classify and code expenditures and accounting entries appropriately.

Reconcile discrepancies by investigating potential causes, reconstructing actions, and preparing correction documents.

Monitor budgets and assist with adjustments and transfers to maintain budgetary control.

Participate in special projects and handle additional duties as assigned by the management team.

Requirements

The ideal Accounting Clerk candidate will have:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.

Proficiency in data entry with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is highly desirable.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Experience with invoice processing and financial document management.

Capability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
