The Idaho Department of Labor's Information Technology Bureau seeks an IT Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain robust applications for critical agency services. The ideal candidate possesses 1-5 years of .NET Core experience and strong SQL expertise, with additional proficiency in SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate. We prioritize a passion for building scalable, reliable systems through clean and maintainable code. Position is located in Boise.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain web and backend applications using .NET Core and C#.

Develop and maintain SharePoint applications and sites using Power Apps and Power Automate.

Design, implement, and optimize SQL Server databases, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Contribute to the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and microservices.

Ensure application performance, scalability, and security through best practices.

Stay updated with the latest .NET Core and SQL Server advancements and incorporate them into projects as appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. You must attach a resume, work history and reference to your application. Good knowledge of:

Software architecture, development, and testing practices

Programming languages, software development tool suites and managing source code

Experience:

Creating, interpreting and documenting user requirements

Coding new systems and making code changes to existing production systems, testing and deploying production systems

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (these qualifications are desired, but not a requirement of the position)
