Analyst/Associate - Equity Capital Markets, Origination - New York, NY
Overview:
Bank of America is an industry leader in Equity Capital Markets ("ECM")
Analyst or Associate in ECM Origination will support and partner with senior members to help deliver solutions and best execution that bring to bear the full breadth of Bank of America's capital markets capabilities
Position will be based in New York, NY
Responsibilities:
Preparing presentation and marketing materials
Execution of both transaction and origination/marketing projects
Producing comprehensive analysis pertaining to clients, transactions and market events
Follow market and sector trends closely to ensure client materials reflect current backdrop
Partner with colleagues in investment banking industry groups to model and refine the solutions considered and presented to clients
Work closely with internal constituents, lawyers and representatives from other investment banks in the @context of deal execution
Managing several projects at once and working effectively as an individual and as part of a team
Anticipate senior banker needs ahead of planned client meetings, and prepare materials accordingly
Think critically/strategically about sectors, including expected developments and implications for each client in the @context of the equity market
Participating in the recruitment, development and training of junior resources (summer analysts, incoming classes)
Qualifications:
Prior or current investment banking or capital markets relevant experience (1-3 years for Analyst & 3-5 years for Associate)
Strong interest in global capital markets
A track record of superior performance in professional and extracurricular activities
Strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus
Distinguished written and oral communications skills for basic client communication
Teamwork skills integral to working with broader ECM team
Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic and team focus
