AnAdministrative Program Specialist Aprovides essential administrative and financial support to agency operations by reviewing and analyzing LaCarte purchasing transactions for multiple DPS and non-DPS agencies to ensure compliance with State policy and identify discrepancies. Additional responsibilities include preparing deposits and refund requests, responding to public and internal inquiries, and providing general administrative support such as data entry, filing, and mail distribution. Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Review and analyzes LaCarte purchases as required by State Policy for eight (8) DPS agencies and (3) Non - DPS agencies and reports any discrepancies and deficiencies to the Administrative Program Specialist C.
Verify data entry of reports for accuracy and analyzes records to recognize audit flags.
Answer incoming calls, route messages, and provide general information.
Prepares collections for deposit and prepares refund request for Accountant approval.
Lead worker for administration of all functions related to the reimbursement of travel expenditures totaling approximately $1.2 million annually.
Assistant coordinator for Financial Services Division administration of MCSAP's violation issuance, certified mailing coordination, and subsequent payment processing.
Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in Lagov, SRM, IMS, and CRAS.
Support the team with everyday office tasks like data entry, filing, mail distribution, and general support.
Confers with the general public, Department Managers/Supervisors/Employees and vendors to obtain information, answer questions in complex matters, and provide pertinent information and data.

Work Schedule:Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
