Serco supports the Army/Space Force customer as a sub on the WSTARS (Wideband SATCOM Training Analysis and Anomaly Resolution Subsystem) contract. WSTARS provides management capabilities of both the terrestrial and satellite networks from designated Wideband SATCOM Operations Centers (WSOCs) and Management sites.
As a member of the team, you will be part of a small group of programmers that works closely together to create software to support the subsystem interface, database tables, and subsystem APIs. This team works onsite in Orlando, FL.
In this role, you will:
Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
Write well designed, testable, and efficient code
Participate in code reviews
Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, debugging activities and maintenance
Develop technical designs for application development and recommend changes to improve established application processes
Collaborate with team members on various projects
Contribute to documentation and user guides
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Software development experience in C++, Java, and Python
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT or another STEM field
The ability to obtain a Secret DOD Clearance
Up too 10% Travel
Additional desired experience and skills:
Engineering background in Software including deriving hardware and software requirements and designing, developing and testing systems
Satellite Communications engineering experience.
Experience with all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated aptitude for analytical problem decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, solution implementation, metric development, and metric evaluation
Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills
Experience working in an Agile framework

Salary range: The range for this position can be found at the top of this posting. This range is provided as a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate across all experience levels.
