An entry level Food Truck cook requires good communication and basic culinary skills. The desired cook candidate will have some cooking experience in a high volume/fast paced environment. A Food Truck Cook should have some professional knowledge or understanding of cooking ingredients and procedures. Food Truck Cooks will work in the prep kitchen, in the food truck, and require moderate supervision and training. **This position will be working outdoors/under a covered outdoor kitchen.

This is a seasonal role with the assignment expected to start in May 2026 and due to end in October 2026. The end date is subject to change. This position is based at our seasonal outdoor venue, Dock & Drink, and will involve exposure to varying weather conditions.

Job Responsibilities:**

Preparing ingredients including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients according to recipes and chefs' instructions.

Executing cooking and plating recipes under the supervision of senior cooks, ensuring consistency with restaurant standards and presentation guidelines.

Maintaining workstation and cleaning: Keep your workstation clean, organized, and stocked throughout service adhering to health and safety regulations. Cleaning up the food truck after service, including filtering fryers and unloading dirty dishes

Station set up. Contribute to daily mise en place by preparing sauces, dressings, and other ingredients essential for the menu.

Ensuring food safety. Follow all food handling, sanitation, storage and rotation protocols to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

Handling equipment. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly, including knives, ovens, blender, and other tools to ensure efficiency and safety.

Organizing food deliveries. Putting away new product into coolers and maintaining proper food rotation.

Wage Information:

The salary range for this position is $23.00 to $30.55 The starting rate for this position is $23.00. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.

Qualifications:

**Must be over 18 years of age

Experience:**

Requires fair communication skills.

Some previous experience necessary.

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to stand for long periods of time in a hot kitchen

Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Capable of performing repetitious duties.

Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Possess food handler's card.
