Job Description:

Vaxcom Services, Inc (a Parsons company)is looking for an amazingly talented Armed Security Officer (NC) to join our team!

A Secret is required .

What You'll Be Doing:

Control access to facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring all personnel entering the base have the proper identification.

Responds to situations on base using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established Use of Force Policy.

Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during day or night.

Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity.

Maintains proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapon systems.

Attend 40 hours of In-Service Training annually.

WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING:

Active or current SECRET level security clearance

Must be able to successfully complete the follow training and certifications:

Must be able to pass an annual physical fitness evaluation test consisting of a 1.5 mile run, push-ups, and sit-ups. Must be able to meet minimum qualification standards for NC PPSB certifications with the Glock-17 pistol, Remington 870 shotgun, and M-4 carbine rifle.

Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.

Must be able to successfully complete FEMA courses: 100, 200, 700, and 800.

Must possess a high school diploma.

Must possess experience working at a classified facility.

Must possess experience in providing customer service.

WHAT DESIRED SKILLS YOU''LL BRING:

Two years experience in law enforcement, department of corrections, security, or the U.S. Armed Forces.

A college or university program certificate or two/four year degree.

Previous experience providing armed security at a classified facility.

Current TS/SCI with polygraph

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.?
