In this position, the selected individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of advanced industrial facilities for the world's leading companies. Responsibilities A Typical Day Might Include: Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating large engineering assignments with overall responsibility for budget and schedule adherence, quality control, and inter-discipline coordination. This includes, but is not limited to, the stamping/sealing of one's drawings/documents as and drawings/documents done as the professional in "responsible charge" as defined by the applicable statute of jurisdiction. May plan and develop engineering projects concerned with unique or controversial problems, offering highly specialized knowledge and skills in a particular branch of engineering. Maintains liaison with individuals within and outside the firm with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters about the chosen field. Supervision received is essentially administrative, and assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits. May plan, organize, supervise, and review the work of a team of engineers and designers working on the same assigned project. Takes a very active part in client contact and business development activities. Prepares or supervises preparation of contract proposals and participates in presentations. Meets regularly with client to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction. Accepts or rejects major items involving materials, equipment, manufacturer's quality, and field construction. Maintains continuing professional education as detailed in registered states' voluntary or mandatory requirements. Travel required.
