Job Title: Entry Level CNC Operator Job Description

The CNC Operator will be trained to operate a CNC Mori Seiki and lathe machine, with additional training on Haas and Swiss machining. The role requires understanding of blueprints and quality inspection tools to ensure that parts meet specifications, alongside knowledge of CNC machining. Training will be provided for setups, programming, and higher-level abilities.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC Mori Seiki and lathe machines.

Receive training on Haas and Swiss machining.

Understand and interpret blueprints for machine operation.

Utilize quality inspection tools to ensure parts meet specifications.

Participate in training for setups, programming, and advanced machining skills.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in reading blueprints.

Experience with calipers and micrometers.

Knowledge of Fanuc CNC operations.

Familiarity with CNC Swiss machining.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

CNC Certificate or 6+ months of on-the-job experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is a small shop housing 4-6 machines with a team of 6 employees. It is not temperature controlled, and the garage doors remain open during the summer to prevent overheating.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
