About this role:
Reporting to the CTO Senior Finance Manager, the Lead Financial Analyst will serve as a strategic finance partner to technology leaders and their organizations, with a primary focus on cloud and infrastructure financial management. This role is accountable for end-to-end financial oversight for assigned technology portfolios, including operating expense, capital investment, headcount, vendor strategy, and cloud cost efficiency. The analyst will translate complex financial and technical data into clear, actionable insights for senior technology and finance leadership. Strong analytical capability, systems expertise, and the ability to synthesize large, complex data sets into executive-ready narratives are critical for success in this role.
In this role, you will:
Establish effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standard and internal control standards
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Provides moderate to complex analysis of key financial metrics and business performance. Synthesizes data into a story for senior management
Provides best in class strategic advice to Business Line and enterprise functions on matters related to financial analysis, business performance, reporting, and forecasting.
Supports implementation of moderate to complex projects/initiatives.
Establish and maintain cross-functional partnerships to solve business issues and enhance strategic advice to leaders.
Support submission of month end close documents and forecasts for horizontal CTO organization in the financial FAST (Essbase system).
Work with controllers on internally developed software (IDS) capitalization realization into FAST, pointed to appropriate lines in the ledger.
Verify, manually map & re-map indirect spend allocations & recoveries as well as statement of work (SOW) and managed resource system (MRS) accruals into the ledger.
Manage move-the-lines (MTL) budgetary movements between other organizations in Wells Fargo due to reorganization or other.
Provide high level analysis & commentary at CTO level for centralized Technology finance reporting
Drive monthly efficiency reporting and realization
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience supporting technology, infrastructure, or cloud financial portfolios in a large, complex organization.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Strong financial planning and analysis background, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, allocations, and actuals.
Strong stakeholder management and developing relationships with internal and external partners
Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while managing multiple priorities.
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise insights for senior leaders.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence and deliver difficult messages with professionalism.
Proven ability to work independently, assess risk, and resolve issues with strong attention to detail.
Experience driving or supporting financial transformation, automation, or process improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with enterprise planning systems like Apptio, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and emerging AI technologies.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex data analysis.
Job Expectations:
This position offers a hybrid work schedule and will sit in one of our office locations. Preferred location is Irving, TX, and will also consider Charlotte, NC and Chandler, AZ.
