Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Influences agency-wide analytical practices and data stewardship through technical authority, consultation, and standards stewardship rather than people management. Work involves leading the most complex and high-risk analytical efforts, establishing expectations for analytical quality, metadata, and compliance, supporting data governance and retention practices, and translating complex data into insights that support executive-level planning and strategic decisions. The position provides agency-level technical leadership for data analytics by driving complex analytical efforts, supporting analysts and external partners, and ensuring analytical practices aligning with established standards, governance expectations, and strategic objectives.
