How you'll make an impact in this role

Provide and document therapy interventions under a plan of care written by an evaluating therapist. Update and progress patient care through communication with supervising therapists.

Coordinate with medical staff to prioritize caseload and determine patient care needs.

Instruct patient/family/caregivers in the use of therapy and compensatory rehabilitation in relation to their diagnosis.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) credentialed from the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

1-2 years of acute care experience preferred

Acute care experience/clinical rotations preferred
