Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee financial operations and ensure accuracy in reporting. This role is vital to maintaining compliance and improving processes within our organization. Based in Franklin, Tennessee, this position provides an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about accounting and leadership.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Oversee general ledger activities, including reviewing entries and ensuring proper account classifications.

Coordinate and support financial statement audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.

Perform account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Supervise journal entry preparation and review for completeness and compliance.

Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Train and mentor accounting staff to build a strong and effective team.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on financial processes and reporting.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to increase productivity.

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting management or supervisory roles.

Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and general ledger functions.

Familiarity with financial statement audits and audit preparation.

Proficiency in performing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

Expertise in preparing and reviewing journal entries.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Effective leadership and team management capabilities.

Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-departmental coordination.
