Software Engineer
Position Summary:
As Software Developer / Engineer, you will assist with the design, development, testing, and integration of software to satisfy system/subsystems functional requirements for new and existing applications.
Must be a US citizen with a DoD Secret security clearance, visas not supported.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Provide software engineering support for Fleet issues
Software development in an Agile environment
Address software defects and change requests
Develop technical reports and documentation
Adherence to Information Assurance standards
Unit test and integration documentation development and execution
Support configuration management processes
Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
Analyze, specify, design, develop, code, test, integrate and document software test modules, systems, and subsystems to provide new functional capabilities and improve existing systems
Minimum Requirements:
Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or a related technical field REQUIRED
Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in software development or engineering
Must be a US citizen with a DoD Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain this clearance upon position acceptance)
Proficient in object-oriented programming (ideally Ada or C#)
Proficient with software version control tools (Git, SVN, etc.)
Experience with the software development lifecycle
Experience in developing/writing/running test procedures
Must work well in teams and independently to solve complex technical problems.
Ideal Requirements:
Experience with automated build and deployment tools (ideally Bamboo)
Proficient with Matlab Simulink
Experience with databases (ideally Microsoft SQL Server)
Experience with networking and troubleshooting networking communication issues
Proficient with scripting languages (ideally Powershell)
Proficient with HMI development software (ideally Wonderware)
Physical Demands and Expectations:
Up to 10% travel may be required for this position
Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier and other office equipment
