Entry Level Construction Inspector

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Entry Level Construction Inspector for our Utah office for projects based in Utah. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

Read and interpret project plans and specifications

Monitor construction for compliance with project documents

Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures

Prepare daily work reports; prepare and maintain documentation of contractor work performed, materials testing and traffic control based on construction plans and specifications; using Masterworks, spreadsheets, and other electronic or manual means

Inspect road and bridge construction (based on UDOT Standards)

Experience with UDOT documentation

Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma and basic knowledge of construction practices

Minimum experience of 0-2 years

Basic ability in analyzing and escalating technical problems

Ability to produce quality technical and professional reports

Valid Utah driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

UDOT Masterworks Trained

Ability to achieve UDOT Construction Training Program Level I, within six months of being hired

Experience on UDOT projects

Bituminous Paving Experience

Concrete Paving Experience

Direct experience working for UDOT or another firm with UDOT exposure

ATTSA Traffic Control Certification, Sampling Reduction & Density (SRDTT), Moisture/Density Gauge Certification, ACI or CTT Concrete Certification or the ability to become certificated within 6 months of hire
