Warehouse Operator - Sit-Down Forklift

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Operator to join our team in a clean, modern, climate-controlled facility. The ideal candidate has strong sit-down forklift experience (5K propane) and enjoys a mix of forklift operation and general warehouse duties. If you're reliable, safety-minded, and comfortable working with inventory systems, this is a great long-term opportunity.

What You'll Do

Operate a 5K propane sit-down forklift for about 60% of your shift

Perform general warehouse duties for the remaining 40%

Pick orders accurately based on customer requirements

Use RF scanners to track inventory and complete order processing

Pull pallets by SKU and maintain organized storage locations

Complete cycle counts to support accurate inventory levels

Work within WMS and ERP systems to update records and manage product flow

Put away inbound freight and restock warehouse locations

Repack, relabel, and prepare orders for shipment

Split cases and sort items as needed

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment

Essential Skills

3-5 years of warehouse and forklift experience

Strong sit-down forklift skills (propane)

Experience with RF scanners, WMS, and ERP systems

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel

Forklift certification (on-site recertification available)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Inventory control or cycle-counting experience

Strong material-handling and order-picking skills

Ability to work safely and follow established procedures

You'll work in a modern, climate-controlled warehouse designed for comfort, efficiency, and safety. The facility is organized, well-maintained, and built to support smooth day-to-day operations

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
