Join our team working on one of our most prestigious programs delivering Cloud modernization and operations to the Department of the Air Force on the Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services (ACSS) contract.
Leidos was awarded the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract and currently has an opening for a Cloud Engineer .
Location:
This position will be hybrid remote, candidates will be required to work onsite as needed. Candidates need to be able to travel to Tewksbury, MA or to a location in Huntsville, AL as needed.
Primary Responsibilities Could Include:
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with expertise in multiple cloud platforms. A successful individual will be responsible for developing in a scalable cloud-native solutions, and ensuring best practices across architecture, development, deployment, and security. This is a hands-on technical role that requires rolling up your sleeves to architect, code, debug, and mentor.?
??Design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions for AWS, Azure, Google, and/or Oracle environments.
?Develop cloud strategy and roadmaps aligned with organization objectives and technical requirements.?
Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and assess their potential impact on organizational goals.?
?Drive adoption of DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and automation frameworks.?
Optimize application performance and reliability in cloud environments.
?Design secure cloud architectures implementing zero-trust principles and defense-in-depth strategies.?
?Ensure compliance with industry standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.) and regulatory requirements.?
?Implement identity and access management solutions and security monitoring frameworks.?
Facilitate customer onboarding and implement a consistent pathway to cloud adoption.
Assess legacy systems and design modernization strategies including containerization and microservices.
?Develop migration methodologies and ensure minimal organizational disruption during transitions.
Manage and optimize cloud environments, networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, and SQL systems.
Implement and maintain Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Guacamole to support DevSecOps practices.
Containerize applications to enhance scalability and deployment efficiency.
Support the design and development of Shared Services.
Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems.
Establish and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring their performance and reliability.
Prepare detailed technical documentation to support development and operational processes.
Conduct security assessments and remediate vulnerabilities in cloud environments.?
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, security, and product management.
?Create reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards for cloud implementations.
Technical Leadership:
Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.?
?Present architectural designs and recommendations to executive leadership.?
?Mentor, guide and supervise development teams on cloud-native application design and deployment.
Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on complex technical decisions.
Lead large-scale cloud migration projects from planning through execution.?
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors and twelve 12+ years or more of experience or a Masters and ten 10+ years or more of experience, additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Interim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment.
US citizenship required.
Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2).
??Excellent verbal and written communications skills.?
??Experience onboarding customer log-data from cloud platforms to on-premise or cloud-based analysis environments such as Elastic or Splunk.?
Cloud architecture and design experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1.
Experience with Zero Trust Architecture.
Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in a customer-facing position.
?Strong understanding Active Directory, Azure AD, SAML and the standards, procedures, and processes.?
Experience with Ansible, AWS console, Elastic, AWS, Azure, Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket and various cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings.
Administration experience with cloud-based applications (MS O365, SharePoint, Azure AD, AWS).
?Experience administering Windows Server, and related services.?
Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle clouds.
Certification Examples - ?AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), Azure Solutions Architect (Expert), ?MCSE (Server), Certified AWS SysAdmin, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Dev/Associate), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, AWS Certified Security, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect.?

Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
