Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Irving, Texas on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is a Contract to permanent position within the retail food industry, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee accounting operations and ensure financial compliance. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial reporting, internal controls, and strategic planning to support organizational goals.

Contract-to-hire Sr Accounting and Finance Manager:

Responsibilities:

Supervise daily accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations.

Establish and refine accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and ensure accuracy.

Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

Coordinate and oversee financial audits while collaborating with internal and external auditors.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes to align with business objectives.

Lead system upgrades and implementations to improve accounting processes.

Manage vendor contracts and procurement activities effectively.

Partner with cross-functional teams to drive business initiatives and achieve financial goals.

Conduct and lead monthly internal meetings to provide updates and align strategies.

Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.

Requirements

Extensive experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Strong proficiency in general ledger management and account reconciliations.

Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and its application in financial reporting.

Expertise in journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records.

Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze financial statements for subsidiaries and consolidations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

Experience with coordinating audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate across teams. Sr
