Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, maintain vendor relationships, and support our accounting functions.

Responsibilities

Review and verify invoices and check requests for accuracy and proper authorization.

Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system.

Process payments according to payment terms and company policy, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.

Assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals and reporting.

Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements.

Support other accounting and finance functions as needed.

Essential Skills

Experience in invoice processing and accounts payable.

Proficiency with 10-key data entry.

Familiarity with accounting software such as JDE, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

1-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

This position is based at our regional headquarters, which has shared service responsibilities for over 40 branches across the United States.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
