Who We Are
HII Mission Technologies - Newport News Direct Support is seeking candidates with administrative experience to join our CVN 75 Work Control Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for administrative duties including data collection, distribution, coordination, and tracking of Work Control documentation. This role will also serve as a liaison between Work Control Analysts and Ship's Force personnel.
What You Will Do
Performs variety of activities in support of functional areas such as finance, purchasing, or human resources or for a specific project/business/technical unit.
Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources.
Compiles, reviews and analyzes data. Uses software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations.
May design processes to enhance work flow.
Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.
What You Must Have
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
Candidate must have the ability to obtain a CONFIDENTIAL Security Clearance
Candidate must have experience entering information from hard-copy documents into an electronic database.
Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Candidate must have experience working on multiple projects and setting priorities.
Candidate must have experience supporting office administrative duties to include maintaining files.
Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Candidate must have clerical/administrative experience.
Candidate must have the ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Candidate must be able to work effectively in a shipyard and industrial environment.
Bonus Points For Having!
Data entry experience a plus.
Experience interfacing with people.
Physical Requirements
Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines. Maximum lifting required is approximately 40 pounds from floor to three feet in height.
