DescriptionMazak Corporation is looking for a Power On Technician to join the Assembly team. The Power On Technician will check machine basic functionality at machine turn on.Scope and Responsibilities: Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following: Checks for electrical short circuits Checks incoming voltage to the machine tool, and outgoing voltage from the control cabinet to the machine Loads and test standard parameter settings, checks PLC function Checks alarm circuits for correct wiring Checks tightness of wiring connections Reads electrical and pneumatic schematics Use of variety of small hand tools, voltmeter, and small power tools Electrical lock out tag out procedure Maintain clean and orderly work areaEducation/Certification: High school diploma requiredSkills: Experience with electrical wiring of machine tool Mechanical assembly experience Basic mechanical skills Use of hand tools Use of voltmeter Use of precision instruments Crane training Walk behind fork truck training Job required lifting a maximum of 50 lbs. three to four feet off the ground Full range of physical activities like kneeling, climbing, reaching, etc. Focus on safety and aware of surroundings Focus on completing tasks completely with no errors.
