Job Title: Bilingual Immigration Attorney - Citizenship & Naturalization

Location: Atlanta Metro Area, GA (Hybrid / Office-based)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

This organization is the region's most trusted resource for bilingual services. They are currently seeking a mission-driven Immigration Attorney to lead their Citizenship and Naturalization efforts.

This role is ideal for a legal professional who enjoys broad, generalized immigration work and finds fulfillment in helping individuals navigate the final, life-changing steps of their American journey.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide high-level legal counsel and direct representation for clients seeking naturalization and other related relief before USCIS.

Direct Client Advocacy: Interview and screen a diverse client base, assessing eligibility and providing empathetic guidance on complex citizenship pathways.

Full-Cycle Case Management: Prepare and file comprehensive immigration applications, petitions, and supporting documentation with meticulous attention to detail.

USCIS Representation: Prepare clients for and represent them during USCIS interviews, ensuring they feel confident and supported.

Legal Research & Writing: Draft memoranda and briefs for USCIS and the Administrative Appeals Office (AAO), maintaining a sharp awareness of evolving policy changes.

Community Leadership: Lead outreach initiatives and educational presentations to help local families understand their rights and the naturalization process.

Team Supervision: Mentor and oversee paralegals, interns, and volunteers to ensure grant compliance and high-quality file maintenance.

The Ideal Candidate for the Bilingual Immigration Attorney - Citizenship & Naturalization role

We are looking for a practitioner who balances technical legal knowledge with a high degree of "soft skills."

Linguistic Versatility: Fully bilingual in Spanish and English is a non-negotiable requirement. Additional language skills are a significant plus.

Compassionate Approach: You understand that for many clients, this process is intimidating. You lead with patience, empathy, and a flexible mindset.

Problem-Solving Mindset: You are comfortable handling complex citizenship cases that require a broad understanding of the law and a strategic approach to unique client histories.

Efficiency & Organization: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where managing multiple deadlines and data-tracking for grants is essential to the organization's success.

Requirements

Qualifications for the Bilingual Immigration Attorney - Citizenship & Naturalization position

Education: J.D. Degree from an accredited law school.

Licensure: Membership in good standing with any State Bar (Georgia Bar admission is strongly preferred).

Experience: Approximately 2+ years of experience in immigration law, with a strong focus on naturalization and USCIS processes.

Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, specifically the ability to translate complex legal concepts for non-legal audiences.

Mobility: Regular access to a vehicle for travel to government agencies and community outreach events.

Background: Prior experience in a non-profit or pro bono environment is highly valued.
