If you are an Engineering professional looking to for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer , you will require a pioneering talent to create manufacturing processes for new global products. Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will be a team member on the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team, focused primarily on developing new manufacturing processes and equipment to support global HVAC compressor platform(s). In this position you will work closely with the product planning, design engineering, procurement, and operations to coordinate design features that will enable low cost, high quality, and reliable manufacturing of new global product.
As A SENIOR ADVANCED MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, You Will:
Support New Product Development and production launch readiness.
Identify critical product characteristics and technical feasibility of new products to establish manufacturing investment and production costing.
Support global strategic capital investment projects to specify, procure, and implement new manufacturing equipment, work holding, tooling, and gauging systems.
Develop and utilize digital technologies to develop manufacturing component designs and perform CNC machine simulations to validate layouts, functional performance, and production output rates.
Create and modify CNC programs to manufacture products to drawing dimensions and tolerances, leveraging digital simulation and best practices to optimize quality and productivity.
Unearth cost reductions and drive continuous improvements of production automation and manufacturing process by utilizing lean principles that are aligned with manufacturing strategies.
Provide project and status updates to senior leadership.
Help drive innovation and implementation of advanced manufacturing technology.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing engineering or related engineering field plus 1-3 years experience with CNC machining.
CNC machine programming knowledge and experience.
Ability to interpret technical drawings with an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and an ability to apply them to machining processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to producing excellent work.
Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Working knowledge of Quality and Lean tools such as Process Capability, Statistical Analysis, Structured Problem-Solving, PFMEA's, and Gauge R&R's.
Experience working with 3D CAD software (examples: NX, Solidworks, Inventor)
Ability to travel 10% - 20%

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing engineering, or related engineering field, with four (4) years of relevant experience.
Knowledge and experience machining cast iron
Knowledge and experience with highly automated manufacturing systems
Experience programming and working with industrial robots
Experience with Siemens NX 3D modeling.
Experience with CAM programming and simulation software (Siemens CAM, Vericut, Etc)
Experience working with Teamcenter PLM software.
Formal Lean and SPC training or certification
Onsite Work Arrangement:
This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.

The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the HVACR Americas business unit. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
