Job Description

The mission of the New York City Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in New York City by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace, protect the people, reduce fear, and maintain order. The New York City Police Department strives to foster a safe and fair city through the strategic deployment of resources, focusing on both crime prevention and addressing quality-of-life concerns while building lasting community relationships.

The Information Technology Services Division oversees critical projects and technological initiatives within the NYPD. They maintain and enhance the department's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and workstations. Notably, ITSD has rolled out various advancements, such as equipping officers with cellular phones applications and digitizing department forms to improve efficiency.

ITSD is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior IT Architect who will act in the role of Active Directory Solution Architect and who will be responsible for the following:

Design/architect Network solutions on MCS365, SharePoint Online and Power Platform.

Implement business processes in Power Automate Flows; implement authentication, MFA and authorization using Azure AD and related Azure Services.

Implement application integration using Azure services such as Azure Service Bus, Azure logic Apps, Azur functions etc.

Confirm adherence of applications, components and services to established standards and best practices.

Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment using Azure DevOps.

Ensure compliance with architecture standards and guidelines throughout the application development life cycle.

Ensure compliance with agency standards; propose updates to agency standards in line with industry's best practices.

Qualifications

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and ten years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or

Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.

Salary Min: $100,000.00

Salary Max: $180,000.00
