Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Processes initial applications for certification for all Commercial and Private Pesticide Applicators, Agricultural Consultants, RUP Salespersons, Ground & Aerial Pesticide Applicator in the State of Louisiana.
Verifies eligibility for testing.
Administers the examinations for all Commercial and Private Pesticide Applicators, Agricultural Consultants, RUP Salespersons, Ground and Aerial Pesticide Applicator and Structural Pest Control technicians in the Baton Rouge office.
Receives testers and ensures proper ID, application and payment has been received prior to testing. Ensure testers do not have cell phones, documents, or other materials when entering the testing room.
Proctor exams and monitors surveillance cameras while testers are present. Assists testers as necessary.
Process applicant records based on outcome of exam.
Files and/or scans test results/reports and applications.
Provides backup support for the Administrative Coordinator 3 responsible for processing Commercial and Private Pesticide Applicator, Agricultural Consultants, RUP Salespersons Recertification Forms and Renewal Applications, and Structural Pest Control Licensee & Technician Recertification Forms.
Assists with the printing of pesticide certification cards, licenses, and mails out to businesses and individuals.
Files recertification documents correctly.
Provides telephone support for Pesticide and Environmental Programs by assisting callers to obtain additional or clarifying information when possible.
Disseminates calls to the appropriate program of the Pesticide and Environmental Programs Division and takes messages and forwards calls to voicemail when necessary.
Answers questions when possible and provides assistance to the public in navigating the LDAF website.
Perform miscellaneous filing and other related duties as required to ensure the efficient operation of the Pesticide & Environmental Programs Division.
Works closely with administrative program specialists to maintain records retention policy related to Pesticide Certification documents and forms.
Provides other administrative support throughout the Pesticide and Environmental Programs as needed.
Other duties as may be assigned.

Full-time- t his position may be filled by probation or by promotion of a classified employee of the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry serving with permanent status.
Applicants who are not permanent employees of the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry will be required to serve a probationary period up to 24 months.
Compensation : The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
