Oracle Applications Database Administrator

CTG is seeking to fill an Oracle Applications Database Administrator position for our client.

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

Administer and support Oracle application databases in a complex enterprise environment.

Manage Oracle application platforms including Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Hyperion, OBIEE, WebLogic, and Retek.

Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations.

Monitor and optimize database performance, capacity planning, and system health.

Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions (RMAN) to ensure business continuity.

Manage database security, access control, and compliance standards.

Support high availability environments, including clustering and load balancing.

Troubleshoot and resolve database and application performance issues.

Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams on deployments and system improvements.

Skills:

Strong experience with Oracle Database Administration (DBA).

Hands-on support of Oracle enterprise applications such as EBS, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Hyperion, OBIEE, and WebLogic.

Experience with performance tuning, monitoring tools, and capacity planning.

Knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery.

Experience with patch management, upgrades, and environment migrations.

Understanding of high availability architectures and application clusters.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Experience:

5+ years of Oracle Applications DBA experience.

Experience supporting enterprise production environments.

Background managing large-scale Oracle database systems preferred.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
