Responsibilities
The Opportunity

Organizational Leadership
Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for the
Technical Center and Solutions Innovation Center
. Establish organizational frameworks, governance structures, and collaborative processes that enable effective execution across matrixed and direct-report teams. Build and scale the Solutions Innovation Center software development capability while coordinating Technical Center resources matrixed from across the enterprise. Drive organizational effectiveness, talent development, and
technical excellence across both centers.
Position Odyssey as a recognized technical and engineering leader, particularly with Air Force and Space Force
customers.
Strategic
Influence
As a senior leader reporting to the VP of Corporate Integration, influence corporate strategy, technical investment decisions, and growth priorities.
Provide
technical insights that
determine
where and how Odyssey competes and wins.
Innovation Leadership
Direct our Solutions Innovation Center to proto@type and mature next-generation capabilities that differentiate Odyssey.
Identify
emerging technologies, develop solutions, and create technical advantages that enable success on tomorrow's critical missions.
Delivery Excellence
Establish technical rigor, standards, and enablement that ensure exceptional contract performance across our portfolio. Serve as the technical authority ensuring delivery of
expertise
, execution, and solutions across Aviation, C2ISR, CCN2, Space & Missile Defense, and Life Sciences domains.
Talent Development
Build career pathways, mentor senior technical leaders, and create the talent pipeline that will sustain Odyssey's technical excellence. Develop the leaders and capabilities that will drive future success.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field
Years of Experience: 15+ years leading technical organizations in aerospace, defense, or national security sectors
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance:** Active Top Secret clearance
Education: Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field
Years of Experience: 20+ years in defense/aerospace including substantial time in senior organizational leadership roles
Additional experience:
Prior experience as VP of Engineering, Executive Director, Chief Engineer, or equivalent.
Technical background in DoD mission areas such as C3BM, Sensors, Space Domain Awareness, Aviation, ISR, C2, systems integration, or related domains, with preference for Air Force and Space Force customer experience.
Experience supporting DoD customers, program offices, or operational commands.
Technical Skills:
Proven experience building and developing high-performing technical teams through direct people management.
Demonstrated success establishing technical centers of excellence, innovation capabilities, or engineering organizations.
Deep credibility in systems engineering, solution architecture, and technical delivery.
Track record as a trusted technical advisor to senior executives and business leaders.
Experience supporting business development, capture, and organizational growth initiatives.
Uncompromising standards for technical excellence balanced with operational pragmatism.
Ability to translate technical complexity into business strategy.
Proven capability attracting, developing, and retaining top-tier technical professionals.
