Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Foothill Ranch, California. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing organization while enhancing your skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial operations. Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.

Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to manage financial records and ensure data integrity.

Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets with basic formulas and data organization.

Collaborate with vendors to manage relationships and resolve billing inquiries.

Assist in the reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial reports.

Support the senior accountant in daily accounting tasks and month-end processes.

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Perform cash application duties, including posting payments and handling discrepancies.

Monitor and address any overdue accounts or outstanding balances.

Contribute to the improvement of accounting procedures and workflows. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is preferred.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets and formulas.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.

Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

A degree in accounting or a related field is not required but is a plus.

Familiarity with general accounting functions and principles.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic office environment.
