Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant/Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Bartlett, Illinois. This is a contract-to-permanent position where you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in accounting practices. If you excel at multitasking, thrive under deadlines, and are skilled in financial analysis, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Perform bank reconciliations and analyze discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.

Utilize Sage 300 software to manage and streamline accounting processes.

Prepare and analyze financial reports to support organizational decision-making.

Balance spreadsheets and ensure all financial data aligns with company standards.

Respond to vendor and customer inquiries, including collecting payments and resolving issues.

Prioritize tasks effectively to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple responsibilities.

Collaborate with team members to address operational challenges and improve workflows.

Provide assistance with phone calls, handling customer or vendor relations as needed.

Uphold a proactive approach to problem-solving and maintain dedication to high-quality work.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper and/or Accountant with a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Proficiency in Sage 300 and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Strong analytical skills for reviewing financial reports and ensuring accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.

Excellent time management skills to balance workload and maintain efficiency.

Strong communication skills for collaborating with coworkers and addressing issues.

Dedication to maintaining high standards of work and motivation to achieve results.
