Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client in Chillicothe, Ohio. In this short-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate payment processing, and maintaining compliance with company policies. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Process and validate vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.

Assign proper coding to invoices and reconcile discrepancies promptly.

Prepare and execute scheduled check runs while maintaining accurate payment records.

Monitor and manage accounts payable workflows to ensure timely processing.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment-related inquiries.

Maintain organized documentation of invoices, payments, and related financial records.

Assist in the preparation of reports and summaries for accounts payable activities.

Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures during invoice processing.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within accounts payable processes.

Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

Requirements - Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.

Proficiency in coding and processing invoices with attention to detail.

Experience in managing check runs and payment schedules.

Ability to handle payment discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.

Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation and records.

Competency with accounting software and financial systems.

Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors and team members.

Familiarity with financial policies and compliance standards.
