As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and guests with professional customer service and clear communication. Tue11:30 PM - 07:30 AM

Wed11:30 PM - 07:30 AM

Fri03:30 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entrances, and exterior grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.

Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization as required, and assist with orderly entry, exit, and line management while maintaining a professional presence.

Complete detailed, timely reports and shift documentation for incidents, patrols, and security-related activities, and communicate updates during post handoff.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.

Be 21+ years of age.

X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
