Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing - 3rd shift

We are searching for a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to support our 3rd Shift operations in Akron, OH. As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure reliable and safe operation of machinery and facility systems during 3rd Shift. You'll collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support continuous improvement across the operation.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

3 -5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required. Extrusion Equipment is a PLUS!

Third Shift (11:30 PM - 8:00 AM)

S tarting Rate: $30.19 plus $0.75 Shift Diff

Strong Problem-Solving Ability: Able to diagnose equipment issues logically, identify root causes quickly, and choose effective solutions under time pressure.

Attention to Detail: Careful, precise, and thorough when performing repairs, documenting work, and following safety procedures.

Safety-First Mindset: Consistently prioritizes safety, follows LOTO procedures, anticipates hazards, and ensures repairs are done safely.

Communication & Collaboration: Communicates clearly with operators, supervisors, engineering, and team members --both verbally and in writing.

Adaptability & Learning Agility: Comfortable learning new equipment, technologies, and processes; adjusts quickly to changing priorities and unexpected breakdowns.

Customer Service Mindset: Treats production and operations teams as internal customers.

Teamwork & Reliability: Dependable, supportive, and contributes to a positive team culture.

Calm Under Pressure: Stays composed during equipment failures or urgent repairs.

Initiative & Proactiveness: Identifies opportunities for improvement without being prompted.
