Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and custom production, is seeking a dedicated Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join their team. As an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator, you will be an essential part of the manufacturing department supporting the creation of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

Location: Farwell, MI

Pay Range: $15.50

Shift: 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday - overtime is scheduled prior to start time and can be heavy, including Saturdays.

What's the Job?

Lead and produce custom set-ups and orders in the sewing department using various equipment.

Operate Gerber cutter to efficiently complete work orders, ensuring a high-quality finished product.

Layout and set-up patterns for athletic and staging cut-outs with minimal waste.

Operate silk screening equipment to produce top-quality parts by selecting the best process and style.

Operate sewing machines to join or reinforce materials, detecting and correcting stitching defects.

What's Needed?

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Ability to operate different sewing machines with versatility.

Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to various situations in the sewing process.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and demonstrate agility of upper and lower body extremities.
