Internship Overview
We are seeking a Sales Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in customer relationship management, business development, and strategic sales operations within the industrial distribution sector. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in a fast-paced commercial environment while contributing to initiatives that support revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term partnerships across industrial markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the sales team with new clients in the industrial distribution space, researching leads, and preparing outreach materials with outside sales reps.
Support the development and implementation of sales strategies, presentations, and pitch materials tailored to I&C customers.
Participate in rep meetings, product conversations, and follow-up communication with distributors, and supply chain partners.
Help track and analyze sales performance metrics with a focus on industrial market trends.
Assist in quoting, proposals, contracts, and other sales documentation specific to I&C customers.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within industrial distribution.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align messaging and support initiatives targeting certain reps.
Contribute to building strong customer relationships and promoting a customer-centric sales culture across the team.
Qualifications
Pursuing a degree in Industrial Distribution, Business, Marketing, Communications, Sales, or a related field.
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Must be at least Sophomore level to be considered.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
Prior coursework or interest in sales, industrial distribution, customer relations, or business development is a plus.
