Job Title: Lab Analyst (Entry-Level)Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Lab Analyst to support our laboratory operations through cleaning, organization, and preparation of laboratory glassware and materials. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient analytical environment. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to grow into Sample Preparation responsibilities, supporting more advanced analytical workflows.

Responsibilities

Clean, wash, and sterilize laboratory glassware, containers, and equipment following established SOPs.

Inspect glassware for cleanliness, damage, and suitability for use.

Maintain organized glassware storage areas and ensure proper labeling and inventory.

Support general lab housekeeping to uphold safety and quality standards.

Follow all laboratory safety protocols, including chemical handling and PPE requirements.

Assist with receiving, organizing, and tracking samples as needed.

Prepare materials and workspaces for sample preparation activities.

Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

With training, transition into Sample Preparation tasks.

Essential Skills

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in chemistry, biology, or related field preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures accurately.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Comfortable handling chemicals and laboratory equipment (training provided).

Strong organizational skills and commitment to cleanliness.

Willingness to learn new techniques and grow into more technical responsibilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience in a laboratory, production, or cleaning/sterilization environment.

Familiarity with basic lab safety practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role at the Syracuse, NY laboratory. The position involves exposure to chemicals, lab equipment, and controlled environments. It requires standing, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liverpool, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
