Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Warehouse Manager - Boca Raton, FL.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Senior Director, of Operations and Infrastructure. The Warehouse Manager is a management-support associate responsible for the day-to-day administration and operation of the University's primary warehouse located on the Boca Raton Campus, and supplemental warehousing sites on partner campuses. This primary warehouse serves FAU's Boca Raton Campus, Jupiter Campus, and Broward Campuses. This position is essential to the University's mission critical function of maintaining safe and properly functioning facilities, grounds and infrastructure.
This position is designated as essential personnel.
Manages warehouse operating expenditures and supports annual budget development and reconciliation in coordination with the Facilities Management Business Office.
Supervises personnel, which includes onboarding, work allocation, training, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
Maintains an inventory management program, to include acquisition and receipt of stock, stock storage and disbursement, warranties, product end-of-life, mission-critical stock, and invoicing and reconciliation, to include accuracy of chargebacks related to work requests and maintenance programs in which materials and supplies have been assigned/utilized.
Measures, monitors, and reports on inventory life-cycle management and warehouse operations to optimize costs, processes, facility layout, and stock utilization.
Maintains a supplier/vendor management program that includes monitoring and comparing of equipment and supplies cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services, and that is in accordance with state contracts and applicable buying agreements.
Supports asset management functions by receiving, classifying, recording, and reconciling stock inventory in the appropriate facilities and asset management system, ensuring items are managed in accordance with appropriate policy.
Maintains a tool and equipment program for both short and long-term use by facilities' crews to include acquisition and receipt, storage and disbursement, warranties, product end-of-life, mission-critical tools and equipment, and invoicing and reconciliation.
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations, including maintaining a personal protective equipment (PPE) management program.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by implementing, maintaining and monitoring loss prevention strategies, security procedures and protocols.
Monitors warehouse service performance and addresses service quality issues through data analysis, stakeholder coordination, and continuous process improvement.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications
High school diploma and minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities-, grounds-, or infrastructure-related warehouse and inventory operations.
Demonstrated experience using computerized inventory or asset management systems to support stock control, reconciliation, and reporting.
Valid Florida Driver's License
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Experience operating warehouse material-handling equipment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities in an operational environment.
Proficiency in warehouse data and information management, including inventory tracking, reconciliation, and operational reporting.
Knowledge of internal controls, audit readiness, and inventory reconciliation practices applicable to public-sector or institutional operations.
Ability to develop, interpret, and maintain key operational documentation, including policies, procedures, and supporting records.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, for documentation, analysis, and reporting.
In-depth knowledge of warehousing performance metrics, including key performance indicators (KPIs), and their use in monitoring operational effectiveness and risk.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and operational information clearly.
Demonstrated ability to implement process improvement initiatives and support change management in an operational setting.
