The Accountant I contributes to the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting program by performing essential accounting tasks and supporting daily accounting operations.

Key Accountabilities
-Completes assigned tasks with attention to accuracy and adherence to established procedures and controls
Gathers, organizes, and verifies data to support reporting, analysis, and decision-making
Assists with process enhancements by identifying potential improvements in daily activities
Works effectively within a team to meet deadlines and deliverables while ensuring compliance with company policies
Actively develops skills through hands-on experience and engagement in learning opportunities
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Experience :
0-3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience preferred in the Energy industry, but not required
Skills :
-Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems
-Strong financial analysis, problem solving & communication skills
-Process improvement oriented
-Fundamental understanding of the accounting close process
