Job Title: New Model Project Leader

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated New Model Project Leader with a focus on stamping-related automotive manufacturing. This role involves managing design and factory process development for small scope and straightforward new model projects. The successful candidate will coordinate small teams, handle new model activities, and enhance manufacturing characteristics to meet departmental goals.

Responsibilities

Confirm design and coordinate with department members and EQ team per project direction for stamping in SQCDM areas, presenting the complete department story using NM Standards.

Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Business teams to integrate past model reflections and factory characteristics into design and manufacturing process development.

Utilize IMS/CRF for design change to ensure accuracy in drawings.

Understand current model issues and factory constraints/capabilities, developing expertise and proficiency.

In coordination with project leadership, develop project targets that incorporate factory characteristics and business plan targets to ensure department KPI achievement.

Manage day-to-day activities of team members in the production department for new model projects to achieve planned activities and project targets.

Review execution of design completion and ensure deliverables are prepared for approval.

Develop and maintain relationships with individuals in the MMC department for requirements information and activity planning.

Conduct daily meetings and coordinate with support groups and other ADC business units.

Serve as the communication window for stamping on project impacts on MMC.

Essential Skills

3+ years of project management experience.

Proficiency in stamping, project management, mechanical engineering, and automotive manufacturing.

Experience in new model stamping, and familiarity with CATIA, Microsoft Office, and SAP.

Ability to present project evaluations to management.

Automotive experience, with a preference for new model development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) or equivalent related NM experience.

3+ years combined experience in manufacturing.

Skills in Excel, PowerPoint, understanding of press and robot constraints, budgeting process, and general department knowledge.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Marysville, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
