Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This position is within the non-profit sector and offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while advancing your accounting skills. As a Contract to permanent role, it provides the potential for long-term career growth within our organization.

Responsibilities:

Review and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation to verify proper authorization.

Prepare and execute payments, including electronic transfers and checks, in a timely manner.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions by comparing system records with vendor statements.

Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files in accordance with company policies.

Address vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a detail-oriented and efficient manner.

Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing reports and analyzing account data.

Collaborate with the finance team on additional accounting tasks and administrative support as needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.

Effective organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with vendors and team members.
