Job Overview

Produce clear and accurate engineering drawings for Hubbell designed products and components. These drawings are used to assist in communicating product functionality, assembly requirements, and purchase specifications to Hubbell's internal and external customers.

A Day In The Life

Per Engineer's general direction, create or revise drawings for electro-mechanical parts and cable tray assemblies utilizing Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault CAD software.

Maintain and organize drawings by project or product.

Maintain consistency in drawing layout and appearance per Hubbell CAD standards to include using ANSI and geometric tolerance standards were applicable.

Provide feedback to appropriate engineer as to problems or questions related to work in progress. Investigate and provide potential solutions when possible. Resolve documentation related manufacturing and/or purchasing issues with appropriate plant personnel.

Analyze dimension requirements and apply appropriate tolerance specifications as required.

Provide working copies of drawings to engineers and production personnel as necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Proficiency in use of Autodesk Inventor and Vault software or similar.

Associates Degree in related field or equivalent in experience.

Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Be familiar with ANSI/ASME Y14.5M-1994 practices.

Associates Degree in Drafting

Trade School in Engineering General or Design
